Va’nese Winborne serves as Federal Program Coordinator at Parents for Educational Freedom in North Carolina (PEFNC). Prior to stepping into her current role, she spent five years serving through the Parent Liaison Initiative, working directly with families, and helping them navigate educational opportunities and resources.
In this role, she manages relationships with partnering schools and oversees their onboarding, training, and ongoing program guidance. She works closely with school partners to ensure they have the knowledge, resources, and support needed to effectively participate in federal programs. She also works alongside the liaison team to help educate families and provide clear guidance and support as they navigate federal program opportunities.
She holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and brings a diverse professional background in program coordination, operations, customer service, communications, and relationship management. Her experience working with families and educational partners, combined with her strong communication and organizational skills, supports her ability to build collaborative relationships and provide effective program guidance.
With a passion for educational opportunity and family support, she is excited to continue growing with PEFNC and contribute to its mission by strengthening school partnerships, supporting program implementation, and helping families make informed decisions about their children’s education.
