Parents for Educational Freedom in North Carolina (PEFNC) is a non-profit organization that advocates for quality educational options through parental school choice. Their mission is to engage at the grassroots level, educate North Carolinians about their options in our state, and empower families to have a voice in their children’s education. PEFNC conducts statewide outreach for North Carolina’s K12 scholarship programs and provides families with one-on-one application and school choice assistance.
North Carolina State Educational Assistance Authority (NCSEAA) is the State agency designated by NC law to administer the K12 scholarship programs, including the Opportunity Scholarship and the ESA+ program. NCSEAA determines student eligibility and makes direct payments to eligible schools. NCSEAA also provides program support, resources, and customer service to interested and participating families and schools.
