BIG TIME for SCHOOL CHOICE in 2024

Celebrating National School Choice Week!

Last week we held our National School Choice Week event at the Halifax Mall, right in the heart of the North Carolina General Assembly. There was plenty to celebrate with the expansion of school choice in North Carolina through the Opportunity Scholarship program and other advancements in parental school choice that happened right there in Raleigh just a few months ago.

There were performances from students of schools (Cornerstone Christian Academy in Statesville, The School of Hope in Fayetteville, and Wake Christian Academy in Raleigh) and speeches from elected officials: Sen. Phil Berger, Superintendent Catherine Truitt, Sen. Michael Lee, and Rep. Donnie Loftis.

We even had a surprise appearance of Stormy, The Ice Hog of the Carolina Hurricanes who joined the party!

Although it is over, you can experience the event with our 30-second highlight reel and through statewide media coverage.

Whether you attended the event, celebrated elsewhere, or showed your support online, thank you! National School Choice Week is a reminder that school choice should be celebrated!

If you missed it, but want to pretend you were there, check out our archived livestream on Facebook.
