Alexandria Speller is a passionate school choice champion, education leader, and community engagement professional committed to ensuring every child has access to a high-quality learning environment where they can thrive.
Her career began as a special education teacher in the public school system, where she gained firsthand experience supporting students with diverse learning abilities and partnering with families to navigate their educational journeys. That experience continues to shape her belief that education should never be one-size-fits-all. Alexandria is a strong advocate for empowering families with the information, resources, and options they need to choose the educational setting that best supports their child.
As a Community Engagement Coordinator, Alexandria builds meaningful partnerships among families, schools, community organizations, and education leaders. She leads initiatives that expand access to educational opportunities, elevate family voices, and help communities better understand and navigate the many school choice options available to them.
Alexandria’s commitment to educational opportunity extends beyond her professional role. She is a founding and active board member of North Carolina Connections Academy, a statewide virtual public charter school. Through her board service, she helps advance innovative and flexible learning opportunities for students and families across North Carolina.
Alexandria holds a master’s degree in Special Education from Grand Canyon University and is completing her Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. Whether she is advocating for families, building community partnerships, or helping shape the future of education, Alexandria remains grounded in one belief: families deserve a voice, students deserve options, and every child deserves the opportunity to succeed.
Outside of work, Alexandria enjoys cheering on her children at their games, crafting, and making memories with her three children and their fur baby, Thor.
