Awarded by Parents for Educational Freedom in North Carolina, in partnership with National School Choice Week
We are SO excited to celebrate National School Choice Week during the week of January 23-29, 2022! National School Choice Week is the world’s largest celebration of opportunity in education and is a nonpartisan, nonpolitical public awareness effort. To celebrate in 2022, we want to recognize educators who have gone above and beyond to serve their students and schools in a series of difficult school years. We will recognize up to FIVE deserving educators across the state as National School Choice Week’s North Carolina Educators of the Year.
We welcome nominations from school administrators who can speak to the educator’s background and share with us the unique, special, and fun contributions the educator has made to their students and school. That information can be shared with us on the nomination form.
Nominations will be judged and scored by a selection committee and up to five winners will be selected. Awards will be made in-person at your school during National School Choice Week (January 24-28) to the greatest extent possible. If the educator you nominated is selected, we will follow up with details.

RULES
- Nominee must be actively working as an educator.
- Up to three nominees may be submitted per school. Nominations must be made by a school administrator. Homeschool nominees may be self-nominated.

- All forms and photo must be submitted to Parents for Educational Freedom in North Carolina by 5:00pm on Wednesday, January 19, 2022.
- Nominations will be judged and selected by a selection committee.
- Up to five educators will be awarded.
