Parents for Educational Freedom in North Carolina Launches EduBuilder, Names Renee Griffith as Director

Raleigh, NC Parents for Educational Freedom in North Carolina announces the launch of EduBuilder, a first-of-its-kind initiative designed to help edupreneurs overcome barriers to starting and expanding private schools in North Carolina. EduBuilder will provide resources, strategic guidance, and advocacy to empower school leaders and visionaries to create new educational opportunities. The program aims to add thousands of private school seats across the state in the coming year, ensuring more families have access to high-quality education.

“EduBuilder represents a bold next step for advancing educational freedom in North Carolina,” said Mike Long, President of PEFNC. “As demand for school choice grows, families need more private school seats so that scholarships translate into real opportunities.  I am pleased to welcome Renee Griffith, an experienced school founder, community leader, and lifelong advocate for children and educational freedom to lead this groundbreaking effort."

Renee Griffith is the Founder and Executive Director of Cornerstone Christian Academy, where she has dedicated her career to academic excellence and empowering families with high-quality educational choices. She has also served as a County Commissioner, championing responsible governance and family-first initiatives, and as a foster mother to more than 50 children.

Her leadership extends nationally: she serves on the National Accrediting Board for the Association of Christian Teachers and Schools (A.C.T.S.) and on the Advisory Board of The Boys Initiative. With a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership, Griffith brings strategic vision and a steadfast belief in parental rights to her role at PEFNC.

“I know firsthand the challenges and rewards of opening and growing a successful school. The heart of it all is putting students’ needs first,” said Griffith. “I am honored to step into this role with PEFNC and EduBuilder to support school leaders and edupreneurs as they turn their vision into reality for families in their communities.”
