About PEFNC

Parents for Educational Freedom in North Carolina (PEFNC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to empowering North Carolina families through choice in education. In North Carolina, some families already exercise parental choice through such programs as charter schools and home schooling.

Although PEFNC supports any program that provides families with greater educational opportunities, our organization works to build awareness of the need for more educational options in North Carolina.

In particular, we are focused on an option not currently available in our state: the opportunity for families to educate their children privately and/or nontraditionally through the use of individual tax credits and corporate tax credits.
