We Need Your Voice
A couple of weeks ago, we asked our Charlotte-area supporters to come out and voice their opinion and concerns on North Carolina’s K-12 education achievement gap – and turn out they did!
State Senator Malcolm Graham (D-Mecklenburg) joined a panel of local private, charter and traditional public school leaders Thursday evening to address the K-12 educational achievement gap at a public forum featuring a town hall style question and answer session. Addressing a crowd of approximately 500 on the campus of UNC-Charlotte, Senator Graham wasted no time in urging panelists and audience members to "take the opportunity to do some research before jumping to conclusions" about new approaches to reform.
Now we are asking the same of our Research Triangle supporters. We are holding another town hall forum at Peace College in Raleigh, on Thursday May 6th at 6:30 PM. Your voice is essential if there is to be any educational reform in our state. So please, come out and be heard!
It is our goal to inform you of the benefits of expanded educational options, and we want to empower parents to exercise the freedom to meet their children’s needs. In short, we want to find real solutions to how we can effectively better our educational system for all children in North Carolina. Real solutions can only be found through people like you.
