National Poll Reveals Broad Support for Lifting Charter School Caps

A recent national opinion poll shows that 74% of voters believe that states should lift the limits restricting the growth of public charter schools.

The poll results also shows large margins of public endorsement for key elements of the charter school model. These include such aspects as "holding students, teachers and parents accountable for improving student achievement" (93%) and "giving schools more autonomy in exchange for greater accountability for improved student achievement" (83%).
