Welcome to PEFNC Perspectives, a forum for all things related to educational reform and parental school choice in North Carolina.

PEFNC has been busy since the start of 2009, with a new office location and new additions to our staff. It's only appropriate that our website has taken on a fresh, new look as well.

In case you haven't noticed, this blog isn't the only new feature online. Our entire website has been redesigned to serve as a more interactive resource. The homepage is more informative, featuring an easier-to-navigate menu and an up-to-date Twitter newsfeed for educational headlines across the state. The newsfeed is an exclusive resource for educational news in North Carolina, so be sure to follow us on Twitter for the latest in school news.

This blog is an educational and informative tool designed to share news and our views on educational issues throughout North Carolina. Often we will take the opportunity to draw the correlation between current events in education and the issue of parental school choice. From reassignment debates to suspension and drop-out rates, so many issues in North Carolina's schools all point to the need for greater parental involvement and choice in education.
